PLEASURE INTEREST IN EXPLORING THE SELF

By:  Ron Weissmann

PLEASURE - INTEREST IN EXPLORING THE SELF

The idea of pleasure is explained by Freigida in the words that we see above. When one finds something that is important for him and allows oneself to explore it by investing in it time and money, then he is in tune with his souls wish.

In her words:

“The inner examination is very important: When we find out what are the things that we are ready to sacrifice time and money on in order to achieve them, we are closer to finding Who and what we are. For this we need to think about ourselves as the middle of the universe.

The senses help us to find what interest us. They are not the reason why we are here, because we live in order to find who we are, but they are wonderful tool to understand ourselves better. If we use them as tools, we can learn more about our character and our special qualities.

We have sensual pleasure, but the process (of pleasure) is internal. Like taste that come from inside. When you want to enjoy, you don't go outside to find the pleasure, but turn inside, to feel the feeling of pleasure. When you tune inside, you feel when something is good for you.”

Freigida explains also that pleasure is easy to reach. In her words:

“Many are reaching pleasure easily. They don't need to make effort in order to have pleasure. They are pushing the light button when you are still trying to light fire to see something. Are you trying to enjoy when the others are already enjoying themselves?

For her, love is the key to have pleasure in life:

“Look at the sky, full with stars. Each one has a face, your own face, and it is smiling at you. You choose a star, and return a smile to it, and then you choose another, and return a smile to it and so on until you fill the smile in you.”

But it should be experienced (or explored) physically, not only mentally:

“First I do what I love to do and then love jumps on me” (not the opposite way).

Only then pleasure can be felt, not searched for, because “pleasure is about the unknown and the mystery. Not the search (for something you expect), but the surprise in discovering (something that you don’t know about yourself)”
