Spiritual Retreats and Vortex Energy in Sedona

Imagine yourself in a beautiful setting. You are outdoors and the sun is shinning. Imagine that you are calm and relaxed. You have no cell phone, nothing you have to do. As you look up to the blue sky you are aware of the towering red rocks that command a presence. You are up high and can see for miles. You lie back and begin to settle into yourself. Your eyes close and you start to fully unwind as a subtle yet powerful energy starts to rise from beneath you. You are in the Vortex energy of Sedona, AZ.
Many travelers and seekers of the Spiritual have found themselves in Sedona and surrounded by Vortex energy. These power centers are enhanced energy locations that facilitate prayer, healing, meditation, and exploring your relationship with the divine. By some, they are broken down into masculine and feminine energies. The feminine flows inward causing you to move to a deeper plane within yourself. The masculine flows outward, so it is the energy of activation and actualization. Understanding these energy flows may best be explained by physics.
Recently the PBS program Nova, in an interview with Edward Witten, featured a breakthrough in physics called "String Theory" (also known as super-strings). This breakthrough may revolutionize science the way Einstein’s theories did. The key spiritual implications of super-strings is that the world's top scientists agree that all things exist in a minimum of 10 or more dimensions.
In the interview, Witten states,"String theory is an attempt at a deeper description of nature by thinking of an elementary particle not as a little point but as a little loop of vibrating string...So in the case of one of these strings it can oscillate in many different forms—analogously to the overtones of a piano string. And those different forms of vibration are interpreted as different elementary particles: quarks, electrons, photons. All are different forms of vibration of the same basic string. Unity of the different forces and particles is achieved because they all come from different kinds of vibrations of the same basic string. In the case of string theory, with our present understanding, there would be nothing more basic than the string."
Vortex sites could be seen as part of the sting dimension which have energy flows that the Soul can soar on. Spiritual retreats in such locations allow you to move beyond your present dimension and tap into that place of stillness and meditation so that you can "feel yourself" in a much more profound way. Through breath, yoga, and deep reflection, you begin to release that which is no longer serving you and come into a place of "letting go." You begin to open your top chakra (called Kopavi by the Hopi, which means "open doorway") and you feel the white light begin to infiltrate every part of your being.
Such spiritual retreats can be life-changing. Sometimes it requires a trip to a magical place in order to allow yourself to feel the subtle but healing energies that the Earth has to offer. Sedona is such a place.
