The Dark Helps Us To See In The Light

By:  Loressjen

I believe in divine guidance. I believe there is a power or reasoning beyond our current comprehensive abilities ass well as how, when, and where these processes take place is, somehow, unknown to many of us.

To assume that divine guidance is corralled or even tempered by any linear constraints is to acknowledge our true mis-understanding of these enlightenments. That is to say guidance comes into our life every day in many shapes, sizes and varied ways, some we hear loud and clear, others are more discreet and less succinct, but there nonetheless.

The vessels or processes that are used cannot be pigeon holed in such a way - the basis by which we judge each decision and consequence is sometimes outside of our very reasoning, we cannot apply our human limitations to what is essentially ethereal.

To truly learn from our life lessons we need to be aware of them, open to receiving the messages that are sent to us. How often have you missed a train, spilled a coffee or even broken a nail and then had your first reaction be nothing more than cursing your misfortune.

How enlightened each of us would be if we had the potential to see the experience for what it truly was - a message, a signal, a divine guidance intervention, a moment in time where you get to make a choice; it's that simple. You get to choose dark or light? Hindrance or Guidance?

With the power of hindsight mentally go back over your day, see where your days annoyances could have in fact been flashes of illumination.

- That missed train enabled you to avoid getting stuck in an elevator for 15 minutes and catching a dreadful head cold.

- That spilled coffee enabled you to spend time in the wash room removing a stain from a favorite blouse that would be totally inappropriate to wear for an interview for a promotion.

- And finally that broken nail gave you a laugh and a smile (albeit from frustration) that a young single mother caught, and mistakenly thought you had sent her way, the one smile that was needed to give her the encouragement and hope to continue, yes one little smile, not even with purpose, could have potentially saved a soul.

If you ascribe to divine guidance in any shape or form, you cannot place linear thinking and restrictions to it's delivery method. The dark truly does help us see in the light.
